IAN Millward is staying as coach of St Helens despite receiving a lucrative offer from top Aussie Rugby League club Wests Tigers.
He was lined up for Aussie post but Sainst bosses have persuaded him to stay at Knowsley Road.
Millward said: "It was a tough decision tio make in many ways. The one thing I come back to all the time is the loyalty and commitment shown to me by the Saints.
"Money was not a big issue. I wanted to make sure the decision I took was the right one for my family and myself."
Great Britain coach has vowed to stay on despite the 64-10 crushing by Australia on Friday.
He said: "I am fully committed. You don't throw your hands up."
