MICHAEL Bentwood takes his Vauxhall Astra to Oulton Park this weekend for the fourth meeting of the Green Flag British Touring Car Championship.
The 26-year-old will be looking to make the most of his home advantage on a track where he used to work as racing instructor, 'I must've of done a million miles round Oulton Park and I think we've got a good opportunity to do well,' says Michael.
'I've got everything in my favour, a light car and lots of local knowledge,' says Bentwood. 'The Honda has got more power, but it's all about handling at Oulton and the Astra has lots of grip. I'm really looking forward to it.'
With three races there will be plenty of points on offer, but they'll be as hard to win as ever, 'realistic goals are to qualify in the top six and make sure we are in the thick of it for all three races,' says Bentwood, 'and if we get it right a podium or a win is a possibility.'
Mike's major on track rival this weekend is likely be fellow Vauxhall Junior racer Luke Hines who is only three points in front in the championship table, but all eyes will be on Matt Neal in the Honda and Anthony Reid in the MG after their dust up at Silverstone.
The championship leader James Thompson heads to Oulton with a four-point lead over Yvan Muller with Anthony Reid heads the chasing pack.
