JUSTIN Rose has launched an exciting new initiative Team England to help the future development of the game. It will be operated by the English Golf Union and is designed to help develop the next generation of champions capable of winning on the world stage.

Rose said: "This is a great way for me to say thank you to the EGU for all the help they gave me when I was developing as a leading amateur player."

THE final of the Faldo Series returns to Burhill on October 11 as the four-time major winner continues his vision of identifying and nurturing the next generation of champions.

He said: "The series is dedicated to offering top level education and competition at top flight venues for young golfers from throughout Europe."

WARRINGTON sports psychologist Karl Morris added Italian Open winner Graeme McDowell to his growing list of successes, which also includes Darren Clarke.

Morris, a former Heaton Park pro, is in Australia speaking at the country's PGA conference and this week stops off in Hong Kong to deliver a lecture there.
