Non-league football: Celts suffer setback

STALYBRIDGE Celtic slipped worryingly back into the Nationwide Conference drop zone with just four games left last night (Monday) as they surrendered their unbeaten record under Dave Miller in a 2-1 defeat at title-chasing Dagenham.

Ged Courtney gave Bridge the lead after just seven minutes, but Mark Stein equalised within seconds and the Celts were then sunk by a 35-yard Danny Hill thunderbolt five minutes before the break.

With Stalybridge's main relegation foes Woking, who they entertain on Saturday, collecting a point against doomed Dover, the Celts are now back to third-from-bottom.
