SALE Sharks have finalised their pre-season warm-up games ahead of the start of the Guinness Premiership.

The Sharks will travel to France at the start of August to take part in the Challenge Vaquerin and start their campaign with a clash against Perpignan at St Affrique on August 6. They then wrap up their French tour with a meeting against  Montpellier at Camares on August 9.

Sale then return home for what will be a double header at Edgeley Park on Friday, August 22. First up at 6.30pm, Sedgeley Park will tackle Sale Jets. That match will be followed at 8pm by a clash between the Sharks' first team and Leeds Carnegie.

Sale then complete their preparations on Thursday, August 28 when Lyon visit Edgeley Park,  kick-off 7-45pm.

Looking ahead to the pre-season clashes, Sharks' director of rugby Philippe Saint Andre said: “The Challenge Vaquerin will be very tough for us but will help the players in their preparation for the new season.

"The double header on August 22  will give me the chance to look at all my players in action on the same evening. Places are up for grabs for the new season and it should be a great night for the supporters too.”
