SCOTLAND'S World Cup stars Bryan Redpath and Jason White start on the bench for Sale Sharks' clash against Saracens tonight at Edgeley Park.

But joint leading try scorer Steve Hanley is out due to a slight groin strain picked up last week at Leicester. His place on the left wing goes to Chris Mayor who scored his first ever try for the club against the Tigers.

Head coach Jim Mallinder said: "We are going into this game on the back of two good wins, but we have some catching up to do with the league leaders.

"We are expecting a tough game and we are aiming not only to win but to play entertaining rugby too."

Manchester are confident they can get their first win of the season when they entertain Penzanze and Newlyn at Grove Park.

Their only point so far this season came a fortnight ago in their 19-14 defeat by Exeter, when Stuart Brown received a red card.

He misses Saturday's game but is replaced by Simon Verbickas who put in a fine display on his first game back after injury.

Full Strength

Coach Dave Baldwin said: "We are very confident about picking up our first win. Stuart is out with a two week ban, but otherwise we are at full strength."

Second-placed Orrell face a tough challenge against fourth-placed Otley, who have lost just once at home this season to National One leaders Worcester.

Samoan World Cup star Steve So'oialo starts at scrum-half having made a big impression when he came off the bench against Coventry last weekend. Countryman Opeta Palepoi comes in at lock.

Undefeated National Two leaders Sedgley Park can open up an even bigger gap when they entertain third-placed Wharfedale at Park Lane.

Park are four points clear at the top and another win - their ninth in a row - would give them a bit more breathing space as they push for promotion to National One.

For Macclesfield's National Three North clash at Priory Park tomorrow against high-flying Blaydon, props Scott Goodfellow and Rob Bieniasz are set to return injury.
