STAND-OFF David Blair chalked up 23 points as the Jets eased to victory over a powerful Rotherham side.
Blair's haul included a try, two penalties and six conversions as the Sale youngsters recovered from a shaky start to dominate the game.
Sale's pack had their work cut out against a very strong Rotherham eight, but it was in the backs where the Jets had the edge.
Scrum half Mark Simpson-Daniel caused no end of trouble with his electrifying pace while Blair, James Hoyle and Chris Mayor produced some dazzling breaks.
Blair kicked two early penalties but the Jets struggled to get a grip on the game and Rotherham were able to level the scores with two goals of their own.
The break came when Simpson Daniel made the initial break before slipping the ball to Blair who found the gap and fed hooker Jonny Roddam who put his head down and charged under the posts.
Tap penalty
Blair, who didn't miss a kick all night, converted and was on target again when centre James Hoyle intercepted a loose pass and raced almost the length of the pitch to touch down.
Rotherham hit back just before the break with a well worked pushover try but seven minutes into the second half Sale extended their lead when Simpson-Daniel took a quick tap penalty and darted over to give Blair another easy conversion.
Rotherham rallied and again their pack assumed control near the Sale line.
Sale were penalised time and time again until the referee was left with no other option than to award a penalty try.
The Jets pushed forward again and when Blair launched a high ball towards the Rotherham try line, Gareth Rawlings was waiting to pounce.
Blair hit the target once more and then landed another conversion from the touchline after he found the gap and raced clear to score from the half way line.
As he game slipped into injury time, there was still time for England Counties winger James Moore to follow up a chip through and score under the posts which Blair had no trouble converting.
