TOP Aussie fitness guru Marty Hulme has revealed what makes rugby superstar Jason Robinson stand out from the chasing pack.
Hulme first worked with Robinson when he was running in the tries as a rugby league ace with Wigan.
They teamed up again at Heywood Road when Jason signed for Sale Sharks and switched codes.
Hulme admits the man dubbed Billy Whizz has a unique talent. Their mutual respect is confirmed in Jason's new autobiography "Finding My Feet".
Hulme says: "When I first came to Wigan I did a lot of testing on the players to identify and classify them.
"I was astounded when I asked them to do a standing long jump and Jason's measured 3.17m. In ten years, I'd never seen anyone jump more than 2.99m.
"I asked Jason to jump again because I was convinced I must have made a mistake with my measurement - he repeated an almost identical jump.
"The thing was, he was not very fit at all - his aerobic and anaerobic base was quite poor - in games he would make a run and be out of breath but he was so explosive on the pitch - he would beat his first and second man more times than not and he had a high work rate.

"I call him a greyhound - he, too, has to be handled carefully and delicately. The slightest difference in his programme could tweak anything in Jason.
"I've worked with hundreds of international players from all over the world and I've never seen anyone with his genetic makeup. You have to get the ball in his hands as often as possible - he's the best running back in the game.
"I don't know how he does it but he has the ability to move in the air and can step off his left or right foot.
"He takes very short strides and is explosive. I'd say from a standing start about 5m - pretty much no-one can touch him - I laugh at people who say he's too small."
Robinson has also revealed his own Wigan dream team. It is Kris Radlinski at full back. Gary Connolly and Dean Bell in the centres - Martin Offiah is the other winger.
Sean Edwards is selected at scrum half with Frano Botica at stand off.
Andy Platt, Martin Dermott and Kelvin Skerrett form the front row, with a back three of Denis Betts, Phil Clarke and Andy Farrell.
Finding My Feet is published by Hodder & Stoughton and costs £17.99.
