The world champions suffered an England record-equalling seventh successive defeat as Pumas replacement Federico Todeschini produced a masterclass performance.
Montpellier back Todeschini amassed 22 points from an interception try, five penalties and a conversion to give Argentina their first win at Twickenham after three previous failures.
England were a shambles, despite wing Paul Sackey and full-back Iain Balshaw scoring impressive solo tries in each half.
Fly-half Charlie Hodgson had another game to forget - he was replaced by Newcastle debutant Toby Flood early in the second half - and Robinson must now surely consider his position after suffering a 12th defeat from 20 Tests.
Back-to-back appointments loom against South Africa, but England are reeling from seven successive losses - their worst results sequence since 1972.
Argentina never even hit top gear, such were England's deficiencies, yet Todeschini came up trumps through an inspirational performance that sparked scenes of wild celebration from the visitors.
Rob Andrew, the Rugby Football Union's elite rugby director, sat motionless in the stands long after the final whistle.
And that was in stark contrast to Robinson, who headed straight to the dressing rooms, displaying an expression of thunder.

yes, and 15 others.
I believe Argentina played an outstanding match against England. Todeschini showed the European community that Argentina has the level of any European National team. In the last 3 matches againts France, Aregentina won them being superior than France. I deem that Argentina should be invited to compete in the SIX NATION, as this will make the rugby even more competitive. An important detail is thata 6 Italian players are Argentinian, this shows that Argentina has the level of any other European national team.
In addition, i believe that Andy Robinson MUST leave the coaching of England since his development as coach was extremelly disapoiting and this damage the image of the entire ENGLAND.
DEFINETLY NOT, YOU MUST KEEP HIM TILL AFTER THE RUGBY WORLD CUP. AFTER ALL HE CAN ONLY IMPROVE !!!
