MARK Cueto has been ruled out of the England team to play New Zealand on Sunday because of an ankle injury.

He is replaced by Wasps wing Paul Sackey, who will win his first cap, and consequently drop out of the side to face Sale in the Guinness Premiership on Friday.

Cueto damaged his ankle playing against Ospreys in the Heineken Cup.

So bad is Robinsonés injury situation that he called up three players from outside his squad to join training earlier today - Bristol number eight Dan Ward-Smith, Castres centre Phil Christophers and Wasps full-back Mark Van Gisbergen.

Van Gisbergen has been named on the replacementsé bench, which Robinson confirmed as England trained at Bisham Abbey today.

The substitutes also include uncapped 34-year-old Sale prop Stuart Turner, who is joined by his Sale colleagues Chris Jones and Magnus Lund, Bath hooker Lee Mears, Gloucester scrum-half Peter Richards and Leicester fly-half Andy Goode.

Wasps flanker Tom Rees, a strong candidate for the bench, was not considered because of a shoulder injury he suffered on Heineken Cup duty in Perpignan last Saturday.
