AROUND 20,000 Sale Sharks fans are being urged to drown out the Tigers' roar at the Guinness Premiership final at Twickenham on Saturday - and raise vital cash for charity at the same time.

For every decibel of noise achieved by the Sale Sharks fans, Betesh Fox, the Manchester law firm, will donate é10 to BASIC (Brain and Spinal Injury Charity).

An official monitoring device at the stadium will record the results.

Martin Coyne, managing partner at Betesh Fox, kit sponsor of Sale Sharks, said: "We want to make sure that Sharks get as much vocal support as the fans can muster. If we can raise cash for charity at the same time, we'll be delighted."

Meanwhile, Sale boss Philippe Saint-Andre was named director of rugby of the season at last night's Premiership awards in London.
