Scotland captain Jason White is looking forward to his side's Italian test and wrapping up a successful RBS 6 Nations Championship with a victory.
The Scots have enjoyed memorable wins over France and England but slipped out of championship contention after losing in Ireland last weekend.
Sale Sharks forward White now wants to put that defeat behind him by leading his team to a closing victory against Italy in Rome on Saturday.
'The mood is still good in the camp,' White said. 'We competed well against Ireland and although we are ultimately disappointed that we didn't play better, there is no problem with confidence at all.
'We have made progress in this Six Nations, but at the same time we realise that Italy is going to be a massive challenge for us.
'The game against Italy coming along so soon is great for us because it is a chance to test ourselves again, put in another good performance, and hopefully get a win.'
Possession
One of Scotland's chief problems in Dublin was their failure to win possession at the line-out.
The Scots lost eight of the 30 from which they had the throw last Saturday and that proved a major factor in the 15-9 defeat.
'We were disappointed with the line-out because that didn't go well and we accept that it is not what it should be,' said White.
'As a set of forwards we know we need to improve that part of our game.
'There are a number of different factors that contributed to the line-out not being as good as it should be and we are certainly going to work very hard during the remainder of the week and improve it for the Italian game.
'We have been together for four games and this is our last one, so we are familiar with what we are trying to do, and at this level it is just small factors that make the big difference.
'The purpose of the line-out is to either give you a platform to give good ball to the backs or to take on the opposition forwards in the tight.'
