He will also be looking to upset his former mentor and Steve Diamond in what promises to be a bruising encounter against Saracens. tomorrow (Sunday).
Dartford-born Titterrell came through as a youngster at Saracens before moving north to Waterloo and then to Sale Sharks.
Diamond, himself a hooker, spent countless hours working with Titterrell and helped mould him into one of the country's top players.
Titterell's talent was recognised this year with selection for England and the British Lions.
But Diamond can expect little thanks from his young prot'g' tomorrow.
Andy said: "I owe Steve Diamond a lot, but he's getting nothing out of me at Vicarage Road.
"It's always nice to head back down south, where I have a lot of friends, so I am really looking forward to it."
Titterrell is the only change from the side which beat London Irish so convincingly last Friday.
And it will not be an easy day for the Sale hooker as he takes on the mighty mullet - Shane Byrne, Ireland's powerhouse No 2.
But history points to a Sharks struggle at Vicarage Road, which has not been a happy hunting ground for them in recent years.
It will also be a chance for a Sale Old Boys reunion, with no fewer than six former Sharks named in the Saracens 22.
Iain Fullarton, Alex Sanderson and Alan Dickens will start for the host club, with Matt Cairns, Kevin Yates and Simon Raiwalui on the bench.
Director of rugby Philippe Saint Andre said: "Saracens is a tough venue at which to play.
"We've said we want to do better this year, so we have to be in a positive frame of mind for this game."
