From the kick-off Arno De Jager made a great break wide, only for Richard Oxley to be tackled five metres out. Sedgley continued on the attack and were awarded a penalty which Blair Feeney converted. Ottley were dominating possession and after several drives Waisale Sovatabula crossed at the corner for an unconverted try.
Sedgley's poor line-out play was costing them dearly and from a poor throw-in David Scully broke on the blind side to send Kyle Dench away for a try at the corner. Ottley won another line-out against the throw and drove to 10 metres, and Sovatabula scored his second try which Binns converted.
Sedgley started the second half with a series of attacks and John Feeley was hauled down inches short but knocked on and Sedgley cleared the danger. Park were making many mistakes in attacking positions which made it easy for Ottley to defend, and from a maul 10m out Tim Fourie was sinbinned. Ottley continued to drive upfield and following a series of drives were awarded a scrum after which Andy Brown broke to find nobody at home, and scored a simple try which Binns converted.
Things went from bad to worse when Feeny failed to gain 10m from the kick-off and allowed advantage to the home team. Park did however fight back and Sedgley won a line-out near the Ottley line. The ball was spread wide and Ross Bullough was again held up short of the line.
Park continued on the attack but again poor handling stopped progress.
The game deteriorated into a scrappy affair with both sides making handling errors, but at least Park were on top for the last 10 minutes, but could not penetrate a solid Ottley defence.
This was perhaps Park's worst performance of the season, and one hopes that the team can regain their excellent form pre the Bristol defeat, for the visit of Henley next week.
