The Sharks' build-up for the game has been boosted by the release from international duty of French duo Sebastien Chabal and Lionel Faure, along with Scottish forward Jason White and Welsh scrum-half Dwayne Peel.
And though rock-bottom Bristol appear doomed to relegation after last Friday's 35-3 hammering by Newcastle, Sale director of rugby Kingsley Jones will show them no mercy and indicated all four of his returning Test stars will feature in his team selection.
"It's great to have them back. They've only been away a fortnight which helps from a continuity point of view and what we've got to do now is look at the big picture," said Jones.
"As regards the likes of Dwayne, Jason and Seabass, we need to use these guys when they are here, especially as we don't want to risk other players with the big games we've got coming up after Bristol.
"So my selection for Friday will be based very much on the here and now and we need to put a big team out against Bristol as we have to get a win.
Struggling
"And if the likes of Richard Wigglesworth and Chris Jones are struggling this week we need to look ahead to the Saracens game which follows on from the Bristol match as well."
Meanwhile, Jones has spoken of his disappointment at losing out in the chase for England flanker James Haskell who, instead, has opted for a big money move to French giants Stade Francais.
Haskell's Wasps colleagues Tom Palmer and Riki Flutey will also move across the English Channel this summer in what many fear could be the start of a mass exodus to the cash-rich French Top 14.
"The financial power of these French clubs will have an effect on the Guinness Premiership. I don't think it will be a massive problem but, equally, you don't want to see guys like James Haskell leaving the English game," said Jones.
"But it's life and in one way I'm glad as it means its not only Sale Sharks who are losing guys back to France.
"For a lot of top English sides their best players are now going to be targeted by the French and they are going to have to get used to that."
