SEDGLEY Park have the difficult task of overcoming Doncaster in the fifth round of the EDF Trophy.

The Tigers romped to a 50-27 win over Kendal at the weekend, running in eight tries in their first game of the New Year.

And they have been rewarded with a home tie against high-flying Doncaster on February 7.

The Knights are fourth in National League One and beat Sedgley 41-3 at Whitefields earlier in the season. Injuries forced Doncaster to put out a young side in the fourth round, but they still beat a strong Plymouth Albion side 21-3.

Director of rugby Tim Fourie said: "It would have been good financially to get an away game at somewhere like Leeds and get a share of the gate money.

"We've got a healthy rivalry with Doncaster and we've beaten them in the past.

"When we're on our game, we're capable of beating anybody."

Fourie was happy with the victory over Kendal, but has urged his side to cut out the sloppy errors.

"It was a great win for morale because we haven't had one for a while, but it wasn't the best from a performance point of view," he admitted.

"There were things I wasn't happy with and, no disrespect to Kendal, it was a game we were never in danger of losing.

"But we can use that win to build momentum."
