SEDGELY Tigers director of rugby, Tim Fourie, is not getting too excited yet after seeing his side hit the top of National League One with a derby day victory.

New signing Paul Wilcock scored a hat-trick as rivals Manchester were beaten 51-35 at Cheadle Hulme.

"There's still 28 games to go, so we won't get too carried away," insisted Fourie.

"It was a great game for the spectators, but I was a little disappointed because we didn't play as well as we did last week."

Manchester were just four points behind midway through the second half, until Park produced four late tries.

Tongan international Lisiate Tafa and Wilcock bagged the first tries for Sedgely before Manchester fly-half Rich Wainwright went over.

Despite having Chris Hall yellow carded for obstruction, Tigers extended their lead when Peter Swatkins went over before Nick Flynn bagged a try for the home side.

But Tigers proved too strong - Phil Jones, Ollie Cook and Wilcock, twice, went over before Craig Wilson added a consolation.

In National League Three, Macclesfield had a 33-16 victory over Hull Ionians.
