SALE Sharks have put the frustration of their wasted weekend trip to London behind them and have switched their attention to Friday night's game against northern rivals Leeds.

Instead of their usual day off after a game, Sharks were back in training on Monday after their clash against Wasps was frozen off 15 minutes before the kick-off.

As international players take a break from Six Nations duty, it is a chance for Sale to boost their Premiership chances against the bottom club. Director of rugby, Philippe Saint-Andre said: "Friday's game against Leeds should be a very competitive game as we both need to win for different reasons.

"We need the points to keep up our top four challenge and Leeds need the points in their efforts to pull away from the foot of the table.

"The game at Headingley earlier in the season saw us under the hammer in the early part of the game but we weathered the storm to return home 34-20 winners."

French prop Lionel Faure, Scotland skipper Jason White and England scrum-half Richard Wigglesworth are all back for Sharks, along with Charlie Hodgson, Mark Cueto and Magnus Lund, who were all released by England before the Italy game at the weekend.

Sunday's postponement means the Wasps game will have to be played midweek.
