MANCHESTER were knocked off their National Two perch at Cambridge.
Things got off to a bad start when Paul Ralph was sent off after 20 minutes for an alleged head-butt and the Grove Park side never really recovered.
Nick Flynn and Andre Wilson both scored tries, with Gaz Wynne kicking two penalties and Ben Coulbeck adding a rare conversion, but Cambridge remain unbeaten at home this season.
The pressure is now on for Manchester to reclaim their top spot, which they could do next weekend with a good win against Lancashire rivals Waterloo.
