Alker back as skipper

MALCOLM Alker has today been reappointed Salford City Reds captain.

He will skipper the side in tomorrow night's Super League clash with St Helens.

Alker was stripped of the captaincy days before the start of the season following alleged breaches of club discipline during the pre-season tour of Jacksonville.

Rob Parker took over the captaincy and will remain as club captain but Alker will skipper the team.

Hallelujah, I believe that many players ,and fans will welcome this move. The club needed this kind of action. Alker has been disciplined, and now everyone can get on with the business of winning matches. Incidentally, no reflection on Parker, he took over at a difficult time for the club. Amen! Torred
