Halifax are considered to be Leigh's main challengers for a promotion place but Darren Abram's side showed their clinical finishing and solid defence to earn the spoils.
Paul Rowley, outstanding against one of his former clubs, Dave Larder and Neil Turley scored tries as Leigh opened up a 16-0 lead early in the second half.
Although 'Fax fought back with tries by Richard Smith and Chris Norman, Dan Potter and Chris Percival clinched Leigh's win.
"We've come here, done a job and got two points," Abram said. "In the second half we got in their 20 three times and scored three tries." Tweet
