Leigh 51 Oldham 32

LEIGH coach Darren Abram felt his side `could have scored 80 points' such was their first half dominance over Oldham. The Centurions went in 27-8 ahead at the break and looked set for a landslide victory.

"In the second half we lost our way and Oldham came back strongly. We let them in for some sloppy tries but Oldham are going to be one of our main challengers this year," said the Leigh boss, for whom Neil Turley top scored with 23 points.
