HORNETS were left to rue a poor start in which they trailed 20-0 after 29 minutes.

"It took us 30 minutes to get into gear," said Hornets' coach Darren Abram. "The pitch didn't suit our style of play but we should have adapted better. Once we did start playing we took the game to them and bombed a couple of chances that could have won us the game."

Paul Norman, Matt Sturm and Ian Gordon scored Hornets' tries.
