FORMER Wigan back row Stephen Wild has been released from the Great Britain squad barely 24 hours after being called up.
The Huddersfield man was brought into Brian Noble's squad for tomorrow's XXXX Test against New Zealand just yesterday following injury to Bradford's Jamie Langley.
But the 25-year-old, who has won one Lions cap, was left out when Noble trimmed his party to 18 today.
Noble also confirmed that St Helens stand-off Leon Pryce would revert to his old role on the wing, increasing the likelihood that Leeds' Danny McGuire would start.
Sydney Roosters forward Adrian Morley was also set to handed a place in the starting 13 barely 24 hours after arriving in the country from Australia.
Morley, who will join Warrington next season, was due to land in London tonight after playing for the Roosters yesterday but his flight was delayed until this evening.
Centre Martin Gleeson is fit to play despite missing the last two Warrington games with a broken finger and St Helens pair Ade Garner, 23 today, and James Graham are poised for debuts.
The Test is Britain's first meaningful mid-season run-out since their ill-fated trip to Sydney for a one-off match against Australia four years ago.
Noble has long called for more competitive fixtures to improve preparation for the autumn international programme.
Noble said: "I'm happy with the Super League clubs for getting this fixture on. It is a big shift in policy on recent years and the relationship with the Super League clubs is the best it has ever been."
