Gary Price, the Rovers' coach, had called this game a ``win at all costs'' challenge for his side. But the visitors were always second best to an Oldham side that played some of their best attacking rugby of the season.
Svabic went over for a third-minute try but gave his side the initiative that they never really lost and the influential Turner added a conversion and penalty before going over for a try midway through the half as Oldham built a 14-0 lead.
Though Featherstone recovered from their slow start to post three tries, Oldham never looked in danger and added tries through Jon Goddard, Will Cowell, Tere Glassie and Carlos Mataora, who scored twice. Tweet
