Oldham start with friendly draw

Oldham finally saw some action on Sunday as they drew their friendly at Whitehaven 22-22.

After three postponements, Roughyeds have been forced to concede that their annual Law Cup fixture with Rochdale won’t go ahead, prompting Hornets coach John Stankevitch to slam Oldham's Whitebank Stadium and its facilities as a “total embarrassment” on Twitter.

Up in Cumbria, Oldham led by 10 points midway through the second half but the hosts fought back and Carl Rudd levelled with the boot five minutes from time.

Just a damn shame the RFL couldn't have helped the Roughyeds out with the same deal they did buying Oslum stadium.
