Match delayed after Wallace suffers double leg fracture

Oldham St Anne’s game with Eccles was held up for 25 minutes soon after the start while medics attended to Saints’ winger Luke Wallace, who suffered a double fracture of a leg, writes Ron Girvin.

Although Eccles took the lead with an Adam Walker try, St Anne’s regained their composure to win 38-10 to go second in Group E of the Hatton’s National Conference League Interim table. Lee Forsythe claimed four tries for Saints, who ended a run of four defeats to their rivals.

Unbeaten Wigan St Patrick’s got a real scare against neighbours St Jude’s in Group B. It took a 75th- minute try from Shaun Boylan to finally seal a 26-24 win. Prop Kris Ratcliffe was outstanding for Pat’s.

Leigh East dumped neighbours Leigh Miners at the bottom of Group A with an 18-10 victory in a cracking derby clash.

Three tries in seven minutes – two from Adam Dwyer – around half-time, saw Ince Rose Bridge pick up a second successive win, by 30-18 over Askam.

Three tries in the last 10 minutes gave Saddleworth their first win at the expense of Askam by 40-34. Adam Jeffrey got a hat-trick of tries, and Jack Bradbury two tries and four goals.
