When will you be resigning Steve?

Maybe I should have posted this to this article to give readers some ammunition
.
I'm still amused at the role of football director and the recent events that have gone down. Presumably Mr Simms will be the man choosing the new coach.
Will someone please try this out on the radio question time.
Is it beyond the realms of possibility that members and supporters are made aware of individuals responsibilities, the clubs expectations for each individual in the current season and possibly the cost incurred. Accountability.
Spectators are dreamers, spending time and money to support their team. They require reassurance that there is some sort of direction or method within the organisation. If they don't get this you'll lose them. A game played in front of empty stands is a sad sight.
Too much to ask I'm sure.

I can't believe the level of negativity from many Salford fans.

I have also been a fan of the club since the late Sixties and revel in memories of Watkins, Fielding, Richards, Coulman et al, but I am a realist. The club is run fantastically well by Mr Wilkinson and the Board - on a shoe string. We have a hardcore fan base of around 2,500 supporters - how can we attract the 'best players' or 'best coach' when the club doesn't have the financial clout of a Wigan or a St Helens ?

I am very interested in how the club intent to raise the fan base sufficiently to populate the new 12,000 capacity stadium .................... and hence raise revenues for new players.

The Board have worked wonders in getting Patten and the other big signings this year; as a long time fan I too had big hopes for the team this season, but knew that the wholesale changes would mean a slow start as it has in recent seasons. Fans' negative reactions do not help the team. I implore fans to get behind whoever takes on the coaching role. Stop whinging and start rallying behind the team !!

Trevor,
a ground capacity of 12000 in a sport that is supposed to be a premier sport is in my mind very small and restrictive unfortunately the game is not that well supported. Its up to Salford and the games management to lift the image of the game and bring back the crowds. The Newcastle Knights have just brought out a membership package hell bent in getting a full house to their home games, the package believe this or not works out to be $6.50 per game to watch the highest level Rugby League. I went to the Saints Hull KR game recently and paid 25 pounds to sit in the cold and watch Willie Mason prance around. Getting crowds back to the games should be priority, If you put this to Richard Lewis he'll give you all the reasons why the British game can't do the same as over here. The game needs innovators not excuse makers and whimps.
