Warrington Wolves are understood to have already recruited flying New Zealand winger Henry Fa'afili - and more stars will follow.
Big spending Leeds Rhinos started the ball rolling by landing New Zealand Warriors pack ace Ali Lauitiiti.
Salford City Reds bosses have also been made aware of the available talent and club officials have met ex-Kiwi boss Frank Endacott and his assistant Peter Brown.

Meanwhile, Reds are frustrated at the standard of refereeing in Super Leagueand they are among a number of clubs criticising match handling.
Football director Steve Simms said: "I really feel for our coach Karl Harrison - we've lost a few games by just seven points and in these crucial decisions have gone against us.
"I guess it's easy blaming the referees but there is someone over them who is answerable.
"We were told by the referee ahead of Sunday's game at Bradford there had been a clampdown on the play of the ball.
"Apparently a meeting had taken place that week with the referees but the clubs were not consulted and we were again left in the dark."
Reds have injury problems ahead of Sunday's trip to Wakefield. Karl Fitzpatrick sustained a whiplash injury in a tackle against the Bradford Bulls.
Kevin McGuinness has a hamstring injury and Mark Shipway is being treated for a shoulder injury.
