Karl Harrison, who promoted Adamson to the senior squad when in charge of Salford, feels another big year lies ahead for the tough tackling back rower.
Adamson came to the fore last season and greatly enhanced his reputation with some top drawer displays.
Harrison maintains he knew all along Adamson was destined to make the grade after success in schoolboy rugby union.
He came through the Salford junior ranks and clearly benefited from Harrison's guidance.
Harrison said: "Luke certainly has the talent and the ability to step up and progress towards representative honours.
"He is a top quality young forward who has a great deal going for him.
Unsung hero
"He's very much an unsung hero. His pace instantly impressed me. For a forward, he is extremely quick. He has a lot of talent.
"What I like most about him was his refreshing attitude. He was never afraid to ask questions as to how he could improve himself.
"He was not shy in approaching me and you could see just how dedicated and determined he was.
"Luke was soon at home in the gym - and is a terrific trainer. And a very good professional.
"He was prepared to make sacrifices in order to enjoy a good career. I am delighted with his progress. He's not your typical rugby league player in terms of background, but he has done well and he was outstanding last season even when the team was struggling.
"Tackling has always been his strength but he does have the ability to run good lines and be extremely effective on attack.
"The best is yet to come. With better service he could be even more of a force. It's a big season for him and he developed well last year. He added other dimensions to his game and really showed what he was capable of.
"He has every chance of gaining representative honours because his determination drives him on. If anyone deserves success he does."
LEIGH Centurions' Boxing Day friendly against Salford, postponed due to ice around the Leigh Sporting Village, has been rearranged for Tuesday, January 5 (7.30pm).

If Salford dont get the Barton ground built sharpish, all the best young players will have to leave sooner rather than later.
Yes Luke Adamson is a good young player my only fear is that the likes of Warrington Wolves may come in for him, just like they did with Richard Myler.
Certainly Adamson seems to be a star of the future. He was always among the leaders in tackles made. He is young and coachable so we can look to even better performances in the future. All this bodes well for the Reds , whose future will look much better when the new ground becomes a reality. Isn't it about time that someone or some corporation stepped forward with a plan to finance the ground venture. Perhaps the naming rights to the new ground would prove a catalyst? Torred
