Rugby League round-up

WARRINGTON Wolves have completed the signing of England Under-16 hooker Keith Holden from Wigan St Jude's.

Meanwhile, new signings Gareth Carvell and Mickey Higham are set to make their Super League debuts in Friday's clash with Saints.

WIGAN boss Brian Noble reports no injuries from his side's shock defeat by Wakefield in Sunday's Super League opener.

Noble said: "There was nothing too serious, just quite a few dented egos.

"I was very disappointed with the performance but we must now try to turn things around at Hull on Friday which will be another big test."

OLDHAM coach Tony Benson has finalised his squad numbers for the new National League season. He is set to run with the Coyle brothers, James and Thomas, at half-back.

LEIGH half-back Lee Marsh could be sidelined for a month with a shoulder injury.

Marsh was injured in the pre-season friendly defeat by Wigan.

WIDNES winger Dean Gaskill will undergo a clean-out operation on his ankle this week. Matt Strong and Tim Hartley could return for Friday's clash with Oldham.

SWINTON Lions have re-signed winger Andy Saywell on a one-year contract.

ROCHDALE Hornets have recruited the experienced duo of Tommy Gallagher and Martin McLoughlin.
