The 31-year-old Oldham-born player will join up at Boundary Park with his former City Reds team-mate and goalkicking winger Andy Ballard, who was also released by Salford last month.
"Paul has always fancied playing for his home-town team and both he and we are delighted it is now going to happen," said Oldham chief executive Chris Hamilton.
Meanwhile, Oldham will unveil their successor to former coach Steve Deakin at a press conference on Tuesday. Tweet
