Batley 22 Leigh 35

LEIGH full-back Ian Mort plundered a 12-point haul as Neil Kelly's side did just enough to get past plucky Batley Bulldogs to set up a mouth-watering play-off clash with Whitehaven.

A late Adam Thomas try and an Ian Watson drop goal made the scoreline seem a bit more convincing than it was.

Jamie Smith, Mike Morrison and Chris Hill all went over before the half hour mark for Leigh but the Bulldogs hit back.

Tries from Mort and Watson finally gave Leigh the breathing space before Thomas's clincher.
