Craig Stapleton, James Jiminez and Chris Borgese all look set to figure prominently this term as the Reds bid for an immediate return to Super League.
It was Steve Simms, the club's football director, who scoured the NRL in search of new blood for 2008 and he likes what he sees in the make-up of the three Aussies.
In the past, it's fair to say quite a few of Salford's overseas signings have failed to live up to expectation but the new recruits are strongly tipped for starring roles.
Simms is delighted with their early season form and believes the best is yet to come from all three.
Powerhouse prop Stapleton is no stranger to these shores having previous earned his stripes in Super League with Leigh.
Paul Rowley, who Stapleton played alongside, claimed the man they call "Big Red" is one of the best forwards he has ever packed down alongside.
While at Hilton Park, Stapleton also greatly impressed Alex Murphy with his uncompromising style.
And Steve Simms claims Stapleton is one of the best, saying: "He has a good pedigree and his reputation back in Australia speaks for itself.
"He has played regularly at the highest level against the best and has been the model of consistency.
"Stapleton was absolutely outstanding for both Cronulla and Penrith. We are delighted to have him on board.
Influence
"It's a big boost to know that Craig has already played over here and done well. He knows the territory and I believe he's going to be such a big player for us. He can also greatly influence our young players.
"Craig is a good pro. He trains superbly, sets high standards and never complains.
"He was an important and significant signing for us and is just what we needed up front. He's one of those props who just keeps going and going. You won't find him taking a backward step. He's going to have such an impact."
Simms is equally delighted at the way Jiminez has settled in and quickly displayed his versatility.
He initially caught Simms' eye while playing for St. George Illawarra and was strongly tipped to join the Newcastle Knights.
He has ended up at Salford and considering he is a specialist back rower, his performances at centre have been outstanding.
Simms adds: "We've needed to have someone going in at centre and James has put his hand up and he's been outstanding in the two games he has had there.
"He is a good player with a terrific engine and when he eventually goes into the back row the fans will see just what he has to offer.
"He's keen to do well and the way he's gone at centre is a real plus for us because a player cannot have enough versatility in his make-up."
Versatility is certainly the thing with pocket atom Borgese, who was playing his rugby with the Canberra Raiders when Reds noted his potential.
Coach Shaun McRea likes what he sees in the little fellow, who has been groomed in the pre-season as a back-up hooker.
"Borgese has quickly put pressure on Mal Alker and has initially been used as an impact player. He, too, can double up as scrum-half or stand-off."
Simms adds: "Borgese may only be small but he is tough. He's just so solid and he can pull off some big hits.
"The make-up of the squad is good. We have experience and also a lot of young talent coming through.
"It means everybody is on their toes and when you're in the team you simply have to perform to the best of your ability." Tweet
