Grand National guide

The last two John Smith's Grand National winners lock horns at Aintree.

Success for either Mon Mome (2009) and Comply Or Die (2008) would make them the first horse since Red Rum (1973-4 and 1977) to win the world's most famous race more than once.

But they could be upstaged by Irish hope Snowy Morning, who finished third two years ago and ninth last season.

Snowy Morning is much better off at the weights than both his conquerors this time around and has been running consistently all season with the only blot on his record his eighth behind Denman in the Hennessy Gold Cup at Newbury in November.

He has twice negotiated the 30 fences he will have to jump on Saturday and trainer Willie Mullins won this race in 2005 with Hedgehunter.
