JOHN Gosden may not be sending out the winners at quite the same rate as earlier in the year but Showcasing looks a likely victor in the Rose Bowl Stakes.

A Listed event for two-year-olds, sponsored by Compton Beauchamp Estates Ltd, it looks the ideal opportunity for the son of Oasis Dream to add to his tally.

Gosden started the season absolutely on fire, dominating the first few weeks of the campaign as he won the Lincoln with Expresso Star, a big sales race at Newmarket with Neeham, the Kentucky Derby Trial with Mafaaz and the City And Suburban with Duncan.

Add to that Pattern race victories for Tazeez and Bronze Cannon and the victory of Virtual in the Lockinge, Gosden was enjoying a great year.

However, the winners have dried up of late and in June he saddled only four from 64 runners at an alarming strike rate of 6%.
