Enlightened has failed to cut much ice on her first two racecourse appearances but she appears to face a much more straightforward task in the Book Now For Boxing Day Median Auction Maiden Stakes at Wolverhampton.

John Gosden’s filly was not unfancied for her introduction at Yarmouth back in September but after a slow start, she could finish only eighth.

The daughter of Bahamian Bounty then managed sixth in what was probably a decent event at Windsor last time and switching to the all-weather for the first time, she will not have to be anything special to take an event of this nature.

Dazzling Bay won with a bit up his sleeve at Kempton last week and looks a good thing to follow up under a penalty in the Stay At The Wolverhampton Holiday Inn Handicap.

After a couple of decent placed efforts, the eight-year-old struck for the first time in well over two years with a length-and-a-quarter victory on his latest outing.

He is certainly well treated on some of his old form and if he turns up at Dunstall Park on top of his game, he will take plenty of stopping.
