FORMER NHL draft pick Eric Lind has become Manchester Phoenix's second signing in the space of 24 hours.

The 25-year-old Connecticut-born defenceman becomes head coach Rick Brebant's fourth signing of the summer and follows yesterday's capture of forward David Kozier.

Lind had two seasons with the Greenville Grrrowl in the East Coast League. Brebant has also signed versatile forward Mike Morin and defenceman Dwight Parrish.

Phoenix's first game of the new Elite Ice Hockey League is at Cardiff on September 13.
