ALTRINCHAM Aces could not prevent a Sheffield ice hockey double when they lost 3-1 in the English National League cup final.
Sheffield took the lead after eight minutes through Leyland. They added a second just before the end of the period when Millie converted a penalty shot.
Smith was next on the mark for Sheffield but Aces broke their duck with six minutes left through Russ Richardson.
On Saturday, the Aces ran out 8-4 winners at Billingham after trailing 3-1 early on. Aces' scorers were Hewitt (3), Price (3), Allen and Daly.
Aces visit Hull on Saturday and Blackburn on Sunday.
