NETMINDER Mike Torchia has been handed the gloves again for the Storm's Superleague clash with London Knights on Thursday (7.30).

The giant American posted a shut-out in the Storm's 2-0 win over Belfast on Sunday with a series of breathtaking saves, and was instrumental in the 3-2 success over the Knights 10 days ago.

He stopped all 42 shots against Belfast - equalling a Superleague record in recording a shut-out.

"I had pretty good control of my rebounds and got some help by a couple of great plays from Geoff Peters and Colin Pepperall helping out at the back," he said.

"The bounces are going my way right now, and I hope to build on this little streak of good personal form."

Coach Daryl Lipsey said: "Mike has played well in our last three games and I'm sticking with him. He has a knack of coming up big against the Knights."

Defenceman Dan Preston is still suffering headaches from the elbow to the face he received from Belfast forward Doug MacDonald. Storm have submitted a request for supplementary discipline against MacDonald, and the matter was being reviewed today, along with that of Storm forward Pasi Nielikainen.
