Top prospect Tom Duggan continued his Phoenix education with a hat-trick in a 6-1 win over Bracknell on Sunday night.

The 21-year-old forward was electric in front of the net completing his first treble for the club by the 23rd minute in a comfortable victory for Tony Hand’s table-toppers.

“Tom took his goals really well and if he keeps working hard he’s going to be a very good player,” said the Phoenix player-coach.

“At his age he just needs experience but I’m pleased with the way he’s developing.”

It was the only game of the weekend for Phoenix, who went ahead in the second minute through Curtis Huppe and were 3-0 up by the 12th with further strikes from Steve Wallace and Duggan. Wallace also added another strike.
