"My game has been nothing short of horrendous over the last few months," admitted the 32-year-old Bolton-born professional.
And in the weeks leading up to his debut in the BMW PGA Championship, which starts at Wentworth tomorrow, he has been desperately trying to solve his problems.
And one of them is that he simply can't practise what he preaches at his busy North West Golf Academy at Westhoughton club Hart Common.
“It's difficult trying to spot your own mistakes,” he said. “I've been consulting my coach Mark Pearson and I'm hoping everything will be sorted in time.”
