Styal man David Horsey underlined his reputation as one of the brightest prospects in golf with victory in the Trophee Hassan II European Tour event on Sunday.

Despite a double bogey on his last hole in regulation, Horsey steadied his nerve to defeat Rhys Davies and Jac van Zyl in a play-off.

The Manchester Evening News caught up with him after he touched down at Manchester Airport.
