DENTON professional Mike Hollingworth and his rapping club captain Paul Nuttall will be looking to hit the right notes when they compete for one of the PGA's national titles in Bahrain next week.

The pair will team up for the final of the Gulf Air International Pro-Captain Challenge after booking their place in the 36-hole showdown.

Marathon man Hollingworth is trying to achieve victory at the third time of asking in Denton's centenary year.

He said: "I've just done 100 holes in a day and raised £4,000 for charity, including £250 off Paul for finishing under par.

"We also had a festival of golf with various tournaments. I organised a barbecue and we had a Denton's Got Talent, where Paul performed an 1980s' rap song word-for-word. He was brilliant."
