Harrison beat former Lancashire champion John Carroll by two shots as he chalked up six birdies in rounds of 74 and 76, six-over-par in total.
Carroll, from Huyton and Prescot, followed up his opening 80 with a best-of-the-day 72 to move into second place in the merit, 100 points adrift of Tommy Fleetwood.
