Practice Drill: Ten ball game
Another game I want you to play on the range is what I call ‘the ten ball game’.
Take ten balls, any club will do, and create an area on the range – either in your mind or by laying some flags out – that creates a target.
So, with a seven iron you may look at a ten yard gap. You then hit ten shots and see how many of the shots land within that ten yard area.
Again you write it down and keep a score.
The other key with this game is that you are only allowed to play it once. A bit like the real game, you only get one chance.
One chance to score will put you under pressure, and give you a realistic appraisal of your game and the level you are currently at.
