BOLTON champion Andrew Palmer is lying joint second in the Faldo Series Grand Final in Brazil after an opening round of level par 72.

But the 19-year-old Chorley member still trails five shots behind Scotland's Andrew Wallace.

More than 80 youngster are competing in a tournament in which past winners include European Tour stars Nick Dougherty, Oliver Fisher and Rory McIlroy.
