Make the Course Longer

By making practice more difficult, the real game will seem easier.

One way of doing this is to make the course seem longer and therefore tougher. This will help you build mental toughness.

So, instead of hitting a driver off the tee, use a seven iron.

This will mean you are much further away with your second shot and will probably have to go in to the green with a four iron rather than a pitching wedge or nine iron.

If you can get round playing like this when you are practising, then just imagine how much easier the real thing is going to be.
