TIP 1

Before Golf – The importance of state

Nervousness is physiologically an increase heart rate.

Take a simple scale of 1-10 (one being slow relaxed rate, 10 being very nervous).

If you get nervous on the course your heart rate will rise to 7 or 8 on this scale.

Part of your practice should reflect this.

Hit at least one shot in every session with an increased heart rate (e.g. jog up and down for 30 seconds).

This provides you with increased immunity from the shock  of that nervous feeling when you are on the course.
