CHORLEY member Bill Bromilow takes over as Lancashire captain on Sunday and will appeal to his players to put their country and county before themselves.

"If they are not turning out for England their next commitment should be with us," he said.

"If we can field our best team I will be disappointed if we don't win the Northern League and the Big Six," said the 46-year-old.

Bromilow, the first Chorley member to be appointed captain, revealed he has persuaded Dunscar's Gareth Hastie, who is seeking a hat-trick of Bolton Championship titles to turn out on a regular basis and will also have Ashton-in-Makerfield's Garry Lacy back after injury.
